Biography

Dr. Ulises Diego Ayala holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Mérida (1995), and postgraduate studies: a master's degree from the Centro Nacional de Investigación y desarrollo tecnológico (cenidet) in 1997 and a PhD from Imperial College, London, completed in 2006. He has experience in the transference, storage and application of electro-mechanical and thermal energy. He has been involved in projects regarding renewable solar heaters, vehicle simulation, Infinite Variable Transmissions, as well as large projects regarding the construction of offshore submarine pipelines and maintenance of oil offshore platforms. Currently his main field of research is in the analysis and determinations of energy use and emissions from vehicles.
