The Graduate in Electrical Engineering is involved in all areas of electrical energy from its generation to end use installations, including its transport and storage. The degree is oriented towards the current needs of sustainable energy, energy efficiency and intelligent control but also to the increasingly emerging technologies and facilities related to electric vehicles.

The Graduate in Electrical Engineering has many attributions in the professional field recognized throughout the state level and in the European Union. It has full competence in electrical engineering, as well as other functions related to field of industrial safety, energy and mines. The degree is also aimed to train up professionals who are competent in designing and managing power generation facilities, both conventional power plants (hydro, thermal and nuclear) and those related to renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass, tidal).
Electrical engineers also design and manage electric and integral facilities (air conditioning, gas, fluids, automation and home automation, lighting installations), in different types of buildings, such as commercial and residential industrial buildings, as well office buildings.
Graduates are also responsible for the design of electrical substations, transformation centres, electrical machines and their control and automation in multidisciplinary fields in any type of building or application.
This degree focuses on respect for the sustainability of renewable energy and the promotion of energy efficiency, from energy generation to its transport and consumption. Moreover, it is oriented towards intelligent and comprehensive facilities.
Graduates are able to design circuits and facilities related to the electric vehicle (types of battery charging stations for electric vehicles, intelligent control of the flow of energy, electrical circuits of the vehicle).
All these tasks and functions are carried within a company or as independent professional, because the degree includes the professional attributions of the industrial technical engineer.

El título de Grado en Ingeniería Eléctrica pretende proporcionar a los y a las estudiantes los conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes necesarios para la generación, distribución, control, protección y adaptación de la energía eléctrica a la actividad industrial y doméstica.
Este tipo de titulados y tituladas deben cubrir también los campos emergentes que cada vez tienen más incidencia en la sociedad actual, como son la tracción eléctrica y las energías alternativas, particularmente la generación de energía eléctrica en sistemas eólicos y fotovoltaicos, áreas con una importante expansión en nuestro país en los últimos años y una progresión futura cada vez mayor.
El sector eléctrico demanda titulados y tituladas para las grandes empresas de generación, transporte y distribución de energía eléctrica. También hay una importante demanda empresarial de ingenieros e ingenieras de esta especialidad en los campos del diseño y la construcción de equipos eléctricos e instalaciones eléctricas, en el mantenimiento de estos equipos e instalaciones, así como de los equipos de protección y maniobra de todo tipo de instalaciones, iluminación, diseño y desarrollo de dispositivos y aplicaciones, gestión de la contratación y compras, etc.

Check the section Future students to obtain information on admission to studies according to each access route, university pre-enrolment, registration, welcome sessions and scholarships.
The enrolment is done by subjects and each subject has a number of credits. Credit price is established annually and in the 2020-2021 academic year is 119,94 euros/credit. Therefore, a new student who enrols 60 credits and without any reduction has to pay 7.196,40 euros plus administrative fees and school insurance (277 euros approximately).
As a centre that offers official degrees, our students can obtain reductions that are recognized by law:
Students from the advanced vocational training (CFGS) courses listed below who are starting on the degrees that are also listed may apply for their CFGS credits to be recognised and added to their UAB academic transcript. Certain subjects on the corresponding degree syllabus will be recognised as passed, in accordance with the ruling of the UAB's Academic Affairs Committee.
The recognition will apply to the whole group of subjects included in this ruling and will be recorded in the students' academic transcripts as "apt" and specifying they have been recognised, which means that the subject is regarded as passed but is not taken into consideration when calculating the global average grade for the academic transcript.

Con esta titulación se puede acceder directamente al Máster en Dirección de Empresas Industriales, que te permitirá adquirir competencias básicas en las áreas de dirección de empresas, finanzas, marketing, recursos humanos, tecnologías de la información para toma de decisiones, estándares y normativas legales, calidad y operaciones.
Esta titulación también te da acceso a un amplio abanico de másteres universitarios o propios de cualquier universidad europea. Será necesario que consultes las condiciones de acceso de cada máster en concreto.
